A team from Humboldt County in Northern California drove down to Vallejo ready to receive from the Lord inspiration and impartation needed to transform our county.  We have been planting seeds of transformation for more than three years and we're exited about how many people are hearing the same thing from the Lord: that we're called to disciple nations beginning with our city!  

But one of the surprising insights we gained was that we are called to disciple nations beginning with our children!  Hearing Miguel and Lisa Sanchez in a plenary session and Benjy and Jessica MacNaughton's workshop drove home the same message: transformation begins in the home.  And that prayer evangelism can be a lifestyle adventure that you have with your kids.  What was so powerful is how these couples have lived out the principles they teach. Instead of worrying about how their kids will be influenced by the world when they go away to college, these couples have children who are already changing the world by the time they're in middle school!  

I shared their story and it instilled so much hope in our young families.  One young mom after hearing that story said this, "Yesterday I thought of ways we could bless our neighbors so I baked some cookies and my daughter and I prayed together (I chuckled because her daughter is 14 months old) asking the Lord to use us to bless our neighbors.  We delivered the cookies with a note saying 'have a blessed day'.  It was like bringing a little light into their dark day.  And everyone of them blessed us back!  How cool is that?"

The Lord tells us to not despise small beginnings.  With this small beginning this young mom is well on her way toward discipling her city beginning with her children!  Thank you Miguel and Lisa and Benjy and Jessica!
