Jesus says: "You are my son and I love you. Keep on praying."

Below is a very powerful story about our good friends Ben and Carol Medel and their son Kekmat. Ben Medel is a Native American Pastor of the Pomo and Miwok people, indigenous to the Bay Area, and he is a key leader in the transformation movement in the region. This near death experience happened to their son on the National Day of prayer. The account is written by a mutual friend Forest Brannon. 5/9/09 Greetings, I have the distinct honor of enjoying the friendship and fellowship with Pastor Ben Medel over this past year or so, and as a result of our relationship, sometimes a little of the splash of his blessings, spills over onto me. This is really his story but I am going to pass it on, because it is fast becoming mine too, and yours as well for, 'The testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy.' On Wednesday 5/6/09 Ben's youngest son Kekmat (7 yr) began running a slight fever and was not feeling well. They took him to the doctor Thursday morning, on the National Day of Prayer, and he came home with some Tylenol, to help with the fever and to rest. Nothing special seemed to be happening ... That morning at the house, before Ben and I left for SF, where Ben was invited to join with others in offering prayer and making declarations over SF and to the Nation from the steps of City Hall, we prayed for Kekmat. Kekmat asked us to. He felt hot and looked like he did not feel well. He said he had a slight sore throat. Following the trip to SF and while we were driving back to Petaluma, Carol Medel (Ben's wife) called Ben on his cell phone and told Ben that Kekmat wanted him to pray for him. Ben prayed for Kekmat over the phone, and we joined our prayers for this little man. That evening, Thursday evening, 5/7/09, at about 10 PM Ben got up to go to bed feeling restless and tired. He went back to check on Kekmat and to feel his head. He touched his head and felt that it was warm. He called to him and asked him how he was doing - "Kekmat are you ok? Are you ok? - no response. He called again louder and touched him - no response. He flipped on the light in the room and saw that Kekmat was lying stiff in his bed eyes wide open, but motionless, seemingly not there. Ben called out to him several times calling his name. He called Carol and she came to the room, and then she ran to get dressed so they could rush their son to the emergency room. Still no response from Kekmat. Ben told me he felt his son was leaving him. That his spirit was gone. As Ben waited for Carol to return he heard Kekmat's voice, but he did not see his mouth move at all, saying, "Who's he talking to? Who's he talking to?" Ben looked around the room and saw there was no one there. He asked his son, 'Kekmat, who are you talking to? Who are you talking to?' No response. Ben and Carol continued crying out to God for mercy for healing for life. They grabbed their son up and rushed to the hospital. They cried out to the Lord for their son all the way. As they drove, Kekmat started to come around and seemed to be coming out of this state. Once at the hospital they were ushered into a room and certain tests were run. They continued to pray. They prayed on for almost an hour before the doctor arrived. As they prayed Kekmat got better and better. By the time the doctor arrived Kekmat said, 'Dad, I want to go home.' The doctor made a thorough examination of Kekmat and found no above normal temperature, no evidence of seizure or any neurological disorder, no evidence of anything wrong. He tried twice to explain to Ben and Carol that he could not explain what had just happened to their son, but he could not explain it to their satisfaction or to his own and he left the room. Carol asked Kekmat to tell her what happened to him. This is the story he related to his mom and dad that night, and on Friday, the next morning, to me. Kekmat said he was lying in his bed and Jesus came to him and took him to heaven. He said he looked back down to his home from heaven and he looked into his room and he saw his dad (Ben) looking down at his body on his bed, and he heard his dad saying, 'Kekmat, are you ok? Are you ok?' Kekmat turned to Jesus and asked Him, "Who is he talking to? Who is he talking to?' Then he heard Ben say, 'Kekmat, who are you talking to? Who are you talking to?' Kekmat said Jesus spoke to Kekmat and He said, "Kekmat you are going to be all right. You are my son and I love you. Keep on praying." Then Jesus brought Kekmat back to his room and he put him back into his body." I was stunned and just could not grasp the significance of what Kekmat and Ben and Carol were telling me. I am still stunned. I spent some time with them that morning and later on we all began to hear and sense some of what God was saying to us through this Divine encounter and intervention. I know that more will come as this event sinks deeper into our hearts. I pray that we will hear what the Lord has for us to hear. I pray that the we will open our hearts our minds our eyes to Him and listen by His Spirit, to what the Lord is saying and revealing in this hour. I will make a few observations that really are shared by Ben and me. The Lord is revealing Himself to us in extraordinary ways in this hour in answer to prayer, Kekmat (who is 7) called his dad twice and asked for prayer. There was a joining together in this moment of heaven and earth, supernatural and natural coming together. (Ben's observation). Their was some confusion in the weight of the moment. There will be. This is what is coming and what is going to be increasing in the earth in the days just ahead. He is still saying to us all, 'Fear not.' His instruction to His children is this, 'Keep on praying.' The scriptures that speak of the Lord's second touch of the eyes of the blind man in Mark 8, and of the widow who came to the Judge's court and pleaded, non-stop, until he heard her petition and granted it for her children, come to mind. May the Lord give us ears to hear. He is turning the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers. Watch and pray. Blessings, Forrest Brandon Medel family friend
