The “California Canopy of Prayer” is a coalition of grass roots prayer initiatives to mobilize Christians across every county, city and political precinct in order to change the spiritual climate in our state, street by street. The objective is to see California become God's California. Above everything else the desire is to see as many people as possible come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The “California Canopy of Prayer” thrust calls on every Christian in California to “Adopt Your Street” at TransformOurWorld.org to become part of a groundbreaking strategic prayer thrust in our state.
California is in its most severe economic and social downturn with no human solution in sight; we are in a crisis on every front: material, motivational and moral. Without change, we are heading down a path of devastation.
We can blame others, complain, or just give up. Or, we can turn this crisis into an opportunity! God created California and He has a purpose for her. By joining hearts and hands to do what the Bible instructs us to do – "to pray for everybody in every place at all times," as instructed in I Tim. 2:1-8 – we can become God's channels for California to become all it was created to be!
Transformation begins with prayer, first by infusing hope into our hearts and then by bringing the presence and the power of God into man’s dilemmas. This type of focused, intentional prayer is designed to change the spiritual climate (1 Tim. 2:1-2). Every Christian in California is being called on to “Adopt Your Street” – beginning with where they live, work and study because everything "prayable" has a street address.
GOALS OF THE CANOPY OF PRAYER
Change the spiritual climate over the state by
Ensuring that each one of the 58 counties in the state has a registered Prayer Initiative.
Expanding it to the 430 incorporated cities.
Making sure that each of the 25,000+ political precincts has at least 2 or 3 people praying and networking.
Sustain the Canopy of Prayer until California has been transformed to be able to fulfill its divine destiny and the eyes of the unbelievers have been opened to the light of the gospel for many to come to salvation.

Spread the word! Encourage and enable others to get involved now!
To start, simply go to "*TRANSFORM* OUR *WORLD*.org":/intro and click on the "Adopt Your Street" icon and follow the trail. You will be able to:
*Plot the street address you wish to "adopt."* It could be your home, at your school, at your place of work – or all of them! Or it could be a street you adopt simply because you feel led to pray for it. —Involve each member of the family in the process!
See your "dot" on the map,* and see the "dots" of the others who are praying nearby you.
Join a Prayer Initiative in your area.* Use the drop-down menu to select the initiative that serves the street you have adopted.
Start a Prayer Initiative.* If you do not find one that serves your "adoption," click on the "Request an Initiative" option in the drop-down menu and follow the instructions. We'll help you get started.
Comment on the street address you have adopted.* Who are you praying about? What are the needs of your neighborhood, your workplace, your school? What are you asking God for? What changes are taking place?
Communicate with each other.* "Follow" others' comments and let them "follow" yours.
Expand your options.* Once you complete the "Adopt Your Street":/edit-street registration process, you will have your own Transform Our World profile. From your Profile Page, you can expand your involvement and manage your preferences – anytime you want.
