I just returned home from Elk River, MN where we facilitated a 3 day Transformation Experience called "ACCELERATE!" July 7-10! It was AWESOME!
We trained, equipped and gave hands-on experiences in prayer evangelism to youth that came from WI, PA, MN and CANADA! We had students ranging in age from 12-19. These ordinary teenagers have now returned home as WORLD CHANGERS - ready to impact their immediate friends, families, classmates and co-workers!
During the opening session I gave the students an opportunity to write out some of their hopes and expectations for our time together. Sam, 15yrs wrote "I want to learn how to preach to my family and friends." After the evening gathering on Friday, Sam approached me, grabbed me by the shoulders, looked me squarely in the face and said, "I get it! I can totally do this and you have equipped me with how to share my faith, which is exactly what I wanted! Thank you!"
It was so rewarding to see the "light bulbs" come on for the students and for them to realize that because they have the power to make a choice, they have the power to make a change! I believe that God is going to use these youth to really impact their spheres of influence in the coming days!
They now join a growing army of young people who are actively implementing the simple and profound principles of transformation by starting with Luke 10:5 - Bless! It's that's simple, but that's where it ALL BEGINS!
Elk River, PA, WI and CANADA will never be the same!
