Recently I noticed several articles about how movies are being made now with a world-wide audience in mind. This LA Times article points out that movies are bringing in 2-3 times more overseas than here in the states.

This seems to indicate the increasing world-wide influence screenwriters will continue to have. I hope this kind of thing will be brought out at the Hawaii conference. The biblical principles of transformation we are learning give us incredible hope that we can and will bring the kingdom of God into every sphere of influence including that of the media!
On our Nicaragua trip I met a young woman who is completing her doctorate in violin at Eastman College (one of the premier music schools in the nation). She talked about how approximately 80% of the musicians in the average symphony orchestra are embittered and disillusioned (basically that's what happens when you make into a god those fleeting moments of beauty you create with your art). She's interested in collaborating on a book about transformation in the world of artists. Should we consider that also in the field of movies and media? Any thoughts on that? Perhaps it can be a topic of discussion at the conference.

I believe you're highlighting one of the premier areas for transformation-minded people to focus their attention. What we loosely bill as "entertainment" is really potent cultural reference points that end up reaching American culture but also past it, into many cultures. As studios - like the article discusses - continue reaching for broader audiences, the influence of the stories told will grow with it. It's a perfect avenue to seed stories reflecting transformation principles. Look for this to be discussed at the Hawaii conference.

There are a few conference one can attend athat are addressing this issue. ProJect Light out of h.Rock church in Pasadena, is held for entertainers,(actors, screen writers, directors, fashion, musicians, dancers, etc),. we heard great testimonies from actors and directors, fashion designers and hip hop dancers about how they walk out their faith. Also Hollywood Connect and Hollywood Prayer Network are other great ministries. My daughter is going into acting, and we are preparing her spiritually for the things she will face there.
Extreme prophetic (Patricia King) ministry also has a media conference.
