Mayor Booker publicly asked God to bless Newark. It may have been the first time he did so publicly, at least as far as Lloyd Turner and the leaders of PrayForNewark are aware. This was in February just a few weeks before Newark's first murder free calender month in 44 years! Was it just a call to local pride, or was it a prayer that God answered?
