I cannot contain my excitement as I write to invite you to our third monthly Transformation Gathering at the Almaden Community Center and Library on Friday, March 18 at 7 PM. My overflowing excitement has to do with the theme for the evening: Transformational Families, and particularly Transformational Children!
In the myriad of cities all over the world where we are facilitating transformation processes, a key component is Bible-rooted, Spirit-filled children, as young as two years of age, who have been taught a lifestyle of dependence on God to change their world instead of the other way around.
You may say, "It is too late for me. My children are too old or they have turned their back on the Lord." NOTHING is impossible for God. In fact, some of the most transformational children today are modern day prodigal sons/daughters who have "come to their senses" and returned home to the embrace of their parents. We have plenty of inspirational stories from our own circles here and from abroad. In fact, you will hear testimonies of elementary, junior high and high school students in the Bay Area who are changing their world!
In addition, we are privileged to have with us Miguel and Lisa Sanchez from Canada -- one of the most secular nations in the Continent -- who have brought transformation to the secular school their three boys attend and, as a result, have developed a value-driven curriculum that secular schools are embracing all over the world!
And there is a bonus: in a separate classroom Lisa and Miguel will be teaching the children (ages 4-12) transformational principles. Ruth and I have seen the fruit of this teaching in our own family and we cannot recommend it more effusively!
But there is more, much more. Rick Heeren, a former executive with a Fortune 500 company and Jack Serra, a previous winner of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year for New Jersey, will be sharing how husbands can entrust their hearts to their wives so that they will not lack profit in the marketplace (see Proverbs 31:11). And to top it off, I will share how God can restore intimacy (no matter how wilted) to marriages and bring parents and children together so that the home will become a spiritual fortress. This is one of my favorite teachings!
The Bible states unequivocally that children are a gift from God. This is why the evil one focuses on leading them astray so that what God intended for good will become a drain and a major setback. However, the Word of God shows us how to train our children and grandchildren -- no matter their age -- to become arrows in our hands so together we can face the enemy at the gates (Psalm 127:4).
We will be highlighting these principles for you to embrace and put into practice! Invite your youth and children's pastor(s) to attend, in addition to anyone who wants to see their family strengthened.
The meeting will begin at 7 PM and end promptly at 9 PM -- two hours fully packed with biblical teaching, anointed ministry, effective prayer and sweet fellowship. This is a Friday night you will never forget! What a day to be alive!
