Your Job is Your Ministry

The last day of the TransformOurWorld Global Conference we were given a challenge to put into practice something we had learned within 24 hours of returning home.  As soon as we got back we needed to go to a store.  While going through the check out line, the Lord, dropped an opportunity in our lap.  The clerk saw that we work for a Christian organization and told us she goes to a local church, then she said, "I wish I could work in a church or ministry so that I could be a minister."  So we immediately got to share with her the Biblical truths we had just learned that "your work IS your ministry" and "labor IS worship".  We pointed out to her that she comes in contact with hundreds of people a day as they go through her line which is a prime opportunity to practice the first step Jesus taught in Luke 10 (Prayer Evangelism) ...  BLESSING those around you by simply speaking peace in the spirit to each person she crosses paths with and then expect in faith to see how God begins to change the spiritual climate over the store and will open doors to connect with people; find out their needs; offer prayer for their needs; and once God answers those prayers be able to give Him the credit.
