In Elk River, Minnesota, residents declared that their city is God’s city. From the mayor’s office to the domains of education and business, the Elk River community is committed to seeing their city transformed by Jesus Christ. For the past several years, those involved in the Pray Elk River movement have focused on developing transformational churches, building kingdom companies, and fighting against systemic poverty. Today, Elk River presents a working prototype to other cities to see that transformation is feasible. Even though stories of what God is doing in Elk River continue to pour in, there are many who believe that they are merely seeing the start of what God wants to do in the city.
