In December 2004 the nation of Thailand caught the attention of the world when a deadly tsunami hit her shores. During this time the Body of Christ began to respond to the cries of those who had lost possessions and loved ones. Pastor Brian Burton became the voice of compassion and the spokesperson for the entire relief campaign and subsequently received the highest award of appreciation from the King of Thailand. Looking back, it seems as though this tragedy opened the door for the Church to become an agent of change in the city of Phuket. From the provincial mayor, to hotel owners, to the Burmese fishermen who live a discriminated life, men and women from all walks of life have embraced the principles of prayer evangelism and daily they are claiming the marketplace for God. Includes “how-to” teaching section!
