Parsley for Our Neighbors
Yesterday it was an unforgettable day for my life. I was granted the permanent residency in the US. Being in the country for five years at my children, I had to come and go to and from Europe every six months in order to keep my visa.
So, when I got home where I live with one of my children, with my papers in my hand, I looked up and said: How can I give back to the nation( which is my nation now) for receiving me here?
I remembered Rick from our Bible Study group telling us about adopting a street for prayer.I went on Internet and adopted our street.Praying for my neighborhood will be a priority for me.
When I went in the backyard, I looked around and saw the green, nice, thick parsley I planted in the garden a few months ago.
Then I knew what else to do.
I made about nine bunches of nice parsley, put them in water and left them on a chair by the drive way with a message: "Parsley from our garden. Please be free to take :)"
It was my joy to see that eight of them were gone by the end of the day.Somebody even left a sweet note with "Thanks for sharing. Blessings".
What can I say? I am blessed and I want to bless others.
