We had a wonderful weekend in Florida helping to launch "Pray Tampa Bay."
On Saturday Oct. 23rd we met with about 30 prayer leaders from around the other bay area (Tampa Bay), and beyond. I presented the 5 paradigms of transformation and prayer evangelism as the foundation for transformation; we heard success stories from other parts of Florida, such as St. Augustine, Jacksonville and Ft. Meyers, then I walked them through the transformourworld.org website and all the tools available there to mobilize Adopt Your Street prayer movements.
There was unanimous enthusiastic buy in! So we have a solid core group, an excellent leadership team, at least one anchor church and the first 77 streets adopted. God poured out his spirit of adoption and we have 4 new people from Florida joining us at the family gathering, our International Conference in Hawaii!
"This was an amazing weekend! What we have heard so much about [discipling nations], and have been so committed to doing, we have now been introduced to the blueprint for getting the job done!" -- Dr. Pat Clarke
Saturday evening we ministered at a powerful church called the Oasis of Tampa Bay, and then Sunday I ministered at the church of my spiritual daughter Dr. Pat Clarke, Faith Connection International Church. I trained her people on prayer evangelism and then invited them all to adopt streets, ideally three: their home, their workplace and a school, either theirs or of their children or grandchildren. It was glorious!
The catalyst and work horse behind this launch was Tom Johnson. He caste the vision and organized the whole trip, not to mention that he has been plowing the ground by faithfully prayer walking in Tampa Bay each Saturday for 10 years!
"The weekend went far beyond our expectations. On Sunday, the message, the anointing and the presence of the Holy Spirit was so strong that people were crying out to God for the spirit of adoption. I could see that a deep healing was taking place all over the sanctuary as people who had for years felt orphaned and alone...cut off from, or missing, their father’s love put aside the orphan spirit to receive the spirit of adoption whereby they literally did cry out to their daddy in heaven. Pastor Pat Clarke and the church committed to adopt their streets and neighborhoods and to disciple St. Petersburg. --We're on our way!" -- Tom Johnson
