5 Pivotal Paradigms for Transformation

The Five Pivotal Paradigms for Transformation Ed Silvoso from Transformation Ch.3 It finally dawned on me that I was in deep medical trouble when my eye surgeon told me, “Well, you were first in line for brains…but last for eyes”. Several top-notched eye specialists had examined me previously, and one by one they had referred me to “someone more experienced on this matter”. Now I was at the end of the line and about to start a surgical journey down the road to six eye surgeries, hence the reason for my doctor’s dry humor. By the time I was onto my fifth surgery Ruth and I had come to know everybody at the hospital – doctors, nurses, receptionists, volunteers, even…

Greater Transformation is Coming

On Wednesday, Feb. 10, Derk and I attended the celebration of the complete transference of Dexter Quinlan’s citizenship to heaven. We had come to appreciate Dexter as the GTA pastor called by the Lord to unite the Toronto congregations for the sake of the GTA’s transformation and blessing. Over the years, we prayed for, were pastored and encouraged in the Transformational Summits he helped organize. We enjoyed his sense of humour at a Harvest Evangelism Conference in Argentina where, together, we were inspired by global examples of transformation. Over the years, the Elisha Mississauga Intercessory team has joined GTA prayer meetings in City Hall, worked with Dexter and the Toronto Leadership team to pray and prayer walk for the Global…

Roger and Teresa McPhail felt convicted that their congregation in Brooklyn was too self-centered, so they began to encourage their members to prayer-walk and bless their neighborhoods. Letter to Friends in Bermuda

1/28/09 Dear Rev. Conway and Joan Simmons and all our friends in Bermuda: It was such a pleasure being with you in Bermuda earlier this month. You all treated us so well. It was a very refreshing time. Thank you so much for your hospitality. After just two visits we feel like we are with family. We recorded some of the messages of the conference, unfortunately I was new to the ipod and so a few of the sessions did not get recorded. We do have a the message I spoke on Sunday at Randal Road on “Blessed are Those Who Mourn,” the two sessions by Rev. Dr. Barbara Lucas on spiritual gifts and the short but powerful prayer for…

Philippines Brothels Transformed into Family Friendly Hotels

Philippines Brothels Transformed into Family Friendly Hotels King Flores is a Filipino Christian who, like Francis Oda in Hawaii, holds dual ministerial citizenship since he is both the CEO of an international financial-transfer service in Manila and a pulpit minister. When he was first exposed to Prayer Evangelism and Anointed for Business, he decided to implement the principles right away. At the time, he was working as a consultant to a person who owned eight businesses, one of which was a motel chain consisting of eight buildings with 1,600 rooms and employing 2,000 workers. However, each room was used an average of five times a day by 3,000 prostitutes who, in cahoots with the management, “processed” around 15,000 “clients.” King…

Vallejo, City of God

Mayor and City Council Look to God to Heal Their City The past year has been a tumultuous one for the town of Vallejo in northern California. Located in the San Francisco Bay area, the town has a population of nearly 120,000 residents. A contentious mayoral election, financial problems leading to an unprecedented bankruptcy filing and a troubled school district left the city crying out for help. In the midst of the tumult, however, the hand of God is visible in the men and women of faith banding together to lift up Vallejo and make a difference in their community. A philosophy of “marketplace ministers,” as defined in Ed Silvoso’s book Anointed for Business helped transform Vallejo Christians from passive…
