5 Pivotal Paradigms for Transformation

The Five Pivotal Paradigms for Transformation Ed Silvoso from Transformation Ch.3 It finally dawned on me that I was in deep medical trouble when my eye surgeon told me, “Well, you were first in line for brains…but last for eyes”. Several top-notched eye specialists had examined me previously, and one by one they had referred me to “someone more experienced on this matter”. Now I was at the end of the line and about to start a surgical journey down the road to six eye surgeries, hence the reason for my doctor’s dry humor. By the time I was onto my fifth surgery Ruth and I had come to know everybody at the hospital – doctors, nurses, receptionists, volunteers, even…

Greater Transformation is Coming

On Wednesday, Feb. 10, Derk and I attended the celebration of the complete transference of Dexter Quinlan’s citizenship to heaven. We had come to appreciate Dexter as the GTA pastor called by the Lord to unite the Toronto congregations for the sake of the GTA’s transformation and blessing. Over the years, we prayed for, were pastored and encouraged in the Transformational Summits he helped organize. We enjoyed his sense of humour at a Harvest Evangelism Conference in Argentina where, together, we were inspired by global examples of transformation. Over the years, the Elisha Mississauga Intercessory team has joined GTA prayer meetings in City Hall, worked with Dexter and the Toronto Leadership team to pray and prayer walk for the Global…

Transformation in Phuket, Thailand

A young woman named Um, 6 months pregnant, was involved in a bad motor bike accident. After being rushed to the hospital, where she was thoroughly examined, she was told that she had lost her baby. The doctor then told her she’d have to wait for another 2 days before she could have an operation to have the baby removed. On Friday, the day of her operation, we had our weekly service in her village and she decided to attend before going to the hospital. Everyone prayed for her, and she felt the baby kick inside her. Sure enough, the doctor at the hospital said “a miracle has occurred, your baby is alive”….

Jewelry Store Shares Kingdom Riches With Customers Transform Our World recently interviewed Patricia Simmons, owner of The Jewelry Mine located in Kingdom Plaza, Jacksonville, Florida. TOW: How has God used your jewelry store for His kingdom? Patricia: One guy came in off the street and said, “Mmmm. Something hit me when I walked in this door.” We talked for a while and as he was leaving I said, “You have a blessed day.” He said, “I’m all the better just for walking into your store today.” Another day, I ministered to a woman and she gave her life to Christ right here at my counter. People share about their desires and we tell them, “You must trust God. Totally trust…

Transformation in a Neighborhood and a Theme Park

In a matter of a few days during the visit of Brian Burton and King Flores to Hong Kong, we saw God open up two areas in Tsuen Wan District of Hong Kong as possible sites for transformation prototypes. First one is in Riviera Gardens, a development of 24 residential towers, a commercial complex and a school. After being taken on a prayer walk by the Senior Pastor around the development with Brian Burton, King Flores, Barbara Chan, Nelson Leung (CEO of Pastors Network) and other strategic pastors, we saw God open to us the Senior Manager of the Estate.

Revival!

Here are some pictures from the Mighty Men conference here in South Africa that I was blessed to attend last weekend. As you can see from the pictures, it was a unique event. God is truly pouring out His Spirit on all flesh. The man that God has used in this movement is called “Angus Buchan”, a farmer. He actually came from Scotland but then settled in Zimbabwe and then South Africa. We were between 150 000 and 200 000 men together for that weekend. We also camped together for the weekend on his and others’ farms and it was amazing that so many men were willing to go all that way and camp in tents for that whole time.…

A Jeepney Driver and the Transformation of a Bar

A Jeepney Driver and the Transformation of a Bar The story of Joe, a jeepney (taxi) owner and driver in the Philippines, provides a vivid illustration of the way the kingdom of God, the Church and the marketplace can interact to transform individuals and touch a city. As Joe was driving his jeepney shortly after his conversion to Christianity, he heard God tell him to serve right where he was. Since he was a new believer and the marketplace was what he knew best, he focused on a bar called Sweet Moments. He decided to apply the principles of prayer evangelism as listed in Luke 10 to make peace with the lost, fellowship with them, take care of them and…

Each morning, take some time to drink in God’s presence, his comfort, his guidance, his blessing. Pack some “take-out” blessings for people you’ll see today. There is a slice of the world that is yours alone. No one else walks your path exactly, works your job, talks to your neighbors and shops just when you do. If you chat with someone and sense a need, offer to pray with them then and there – make it short, personal, and share God’s love. If they decline, just say “I’ll pray for you at home.”…

The reason is because where most people see two disassociated problems –…
